Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-07-25
These terms govern your use of NordScreen (nordscreen.app), operated by Matias Salmela, an individual based in Finland ("we", "us", "NordScreen"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What NordScreen is
NordScreen is an AI-powered stock screener. You describe the kind of stocks you're looking for in plain language, and the service translates that into search criteria and returns matching stocks with AI-generated explanations, using market data from Financial Modeling Prep.
NordScreen is an informational research tool. It is not a broker, an investment adviser, or a financial institution, and using it does not create an advisory relationship of any kind. See "Not financial advice" below — this is the single most important thing to understand before using the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use NordScreen. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Accounts
Creating an account is optional — search works without one, subject to a lower daily limit. If you create an account (via our authentication provider, Clerk), you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Free tier and NordScreen Pro
NordScreen offers a free tier with a limited number of searches per day, and a paid subscription, NordScreen Pro, which raises that limit and returns more results per search. Pricing is shown at the point of purchase and may change with notice; existing subscriptions are not changed retroactively without your agreement.
Payment is processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Your subscription renews automatically each billing period until cancelled.
5. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel NordScreen Pro at any time from the billing portal (linked from your account menu). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you keep Pro access until then, and we don't charge you again after that. We don't provide partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.
If you're an EU/EEA consumer, you have a legal right to withdraw from a new digital subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. This right is forfeited once you've acknowledged that the service starts immediately and you've begun using the paid features, which is the normal way NordScreen Pro is activated. If you believe you're still entitled to withdraw, contact us and we'll review it in good faith.
6. Acceptable use
To keep the service available and fair for everyone, you agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, search quotas, or other technical restrictions.
- Scrape, systematically extract, or resell data from the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, or to interfere with its normal operation (e.g. attempting to overload it, probing for vulnerabilities, or submitting malicious input).
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.
- Use automated bots or scripts against the search or account APIs outside of normal browser use.
We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this section.
7. Not financial advice
NordScreen is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.
- Search results and AI-generated explanations are produced automatically and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. AI-generated text can misstate facts.
- Market data comes from a third-party provider (Financial Modeling Prep) and is not guaranteed to be real-time, complete, or error-free. Coverage and data depth are more limited for some non-U.S. markets (for example, some fundamental metrics like P/E ratio are not always available for Nordic-listed stocks on our current data plan); where that happens, we try to disclose it in the results themselves.
- Past performance shown or implied by any data is not a guarantee or reliable indicator of future results.
- You are solely responsible for any investment decisions you make. Always do your own research and consult a licensed financial adviser before investing.
8. Intellectual property
The NordScreen name, logo, design, and site content (excluding third-party market data and your own submitted content) belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial research. You retain any rights to the search queries, saved-search names, and watchlist notes you create; by submitting them, you grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to provide the service to you.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep NordScreen available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access — the service may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or factors outside our control (including outages at Clerk, Stripe, Anthropic, Financial Modeling Prep, or our hosting provider, Vercel). We may add, change, or remove features over time.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NordScreen and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from investment decisions made using information from the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Finnish or EU law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury.
If you're a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, these terms don't affect the mandatory consumer-protection rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence, regardless of the governing-law clause below.
11. Termination
You may stop using NordScreen and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as "Not financial advice" and "Limitation of liability") continue to apply after your account ends.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on the site; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to the consumer-protection carve-out above. Any dispute not resolved informally may be brought before the competent Finnish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory right you have to bring proceedings in your own country of residence as an EU/EEA consumer.
